Over a million Americans travel to Mexico for medical procedures every year. They find surgeons who trained at Johns Hopkins. Clinics with better equipment than back home. Prices that make treatment actually possible.

Then they book an Airbnb. Sixth floor, no elevator. Party street. No one who speaks English. No one checking if they're okay. The surgery goes perfectly — and the recovery undoes half of it.

We started CuraStay because that gap is absurd. If the medical care is excellent, the recovery housing should be too. Not luxury — just appropriate. The right floor. The right distance. Someone to call.

Hotels are expensive and clinical. Airbnb is a lottery. We sit in the gap: real apartments, personally inspected, chosen specifically for recovering patients.

Every apartment is vetted by the clinic you're visiting. They know what recovery from their procedures requires — we find housing that matches. Ground floor for knee replacements. Quiet streets for dental work. Full kitchens for bariatric dietary needs.

We don't own the apartments. We curate them, vet them, and wrap them in the support that makes recovery in a foreign country actually work.

How We Work

Three things we won't compromise on

Every apartment is walked

Not photographed from the listing. Walked. Our team checks the elevator, tests the shower pressure, counts the stairs, measures the distance to the clinic on foot. If something changes, we re-inspect.

The clinic has veto power

We don't decide what's appropriate for post-op recovery — the clinic does. They approve every apartment on their page. If they say no, it's out. Their patients, their standards.

Support means a person, not a chatbot

When you message our concierge at 2am because you're in pain and need a pharmacy, a human reads it and a human responds. In your language. Within minutes. That's the floor, not the ceiling.

Our team is based in Mexico. We know the neighborhoods. We know which streets are loud on Fridays. We know which pharmacies deliver and which clinics run late. That local knowledge is the product.
